Physical Standard Requirements for Recruitment
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has set physical standards for the recruitment of candidates in various positions. The requirements are as follows:
Height:
- For candidates other than those belonging to Schedule tribes, the minimum height for males is 170 cms and for females is 157 cms.
- Candidates belonging to Schedule tribes are required to have a minimum height of 162.5 cms for males and 154.0 cms for females.
- Candidates falling under the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and those belonging to the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Laddakh region of J&K are required to have a minimum height of 165.0 cms for males and 155.0 cms for females.
Chest:
- For candidates other than those belonging to Schedule tribes, the chest measurement should be a minimum of 80 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
- Candidates belonging to Schedule tribes are required to have a chest measurement of 77-82 cms.
- Candidates falling under the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and those belonging to the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Laddakh region of J&K are required to have a chest measurement of 80-85 cms.
Weight: The weight of the candidate should be proportionate to their height and age as per medical standards.
Candidates who meet the above-mentioned physical standards are eligible to apply for the recruitment process in the CRPF. It is important to note that these standards are subject to change as per the discretion of the organization.
Physical Efficiency Test and Age Limit for SI (Radio Operator/Crypto/Technical), SI (Civil), and ASI (Technical/Draughtsman) in CRPF
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has set Physical Efficiency Test (PET) standards for the recruitment of Sub Inspectors (SI) (Radio Operator/Crypto/Technical) and Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI) (Technical/Draughtsman). The standards for the PET are as follows:
Race:
- For male candidates, the 1.6 km race must be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds, and the 100-metre race must be completed within 16 seconds.
- For female candidates, the 800-metre race must be completed within 4 minutes, and the 100-metre race must be completed within 18 seconds.
Long Jump:
- Male candidates must complete a long jump of 3.65 metres in three chances.
- Female candidates must complete a long jump of 9 feet in three chances.
High Jump:
- Male candidates must complete a high jump of 1.2 metres in three chances.
- Female candidates must complete a high jump of 3 feet in three chances.
Shot Put 16 LBS/7.26Kgs:
- Male candidates must throw the shot put a minimum of 4.5 metres in three chances.
- Female candidates must throw the shot put in three chances.
For SI (Civil) (Male only): Race:
- Male candidates must complete a 1.6 km race in 9 minutes.
The age limit for the various positions in CRPF as on 21-05-2023 are:
- Sub Inspector (Radio Operator/Crypto/Technical): Below 30 years, candidates should not be born before 22/05/1993.
- Sub Inspector (Civil): Between 21 to 30 years, candidates should not be born before 22/05/1993 or after 21/05/2002.
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Technical/Draughtsman): Between 18 to 25 years, candidates should not be born before 22/05/1998 or after 21/05/2005.
Candidates who meet the above-mentioned standards and age requirements are eligible to apply for the recruitment process in CRPF. Age relaxation is applicable as per the organization’s rules.
